Data Center Information

Data Center

Our Data Center is located in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. The facility is 30k sq. ft. total, raised floor accounts for 10-11k sq. ft.

Freestanding Data Center

The facility is built from the ground up as a freestanding data center. Freestanding is important from a security perspective. Staff controls limited access and entry points into the building. Freestanding provides for autonomous and discrete controls of all building systems. The facility's dedicated grounds provides control over incoming communication links. The industrial complex is designed for a single purpose. Mechanical rooms isolate power generation system from UPS systems and the chilled water plant is autonomous. There's no public access to facility, similar to military, financial, airline, or other energy / critical service related infrastructure facilities around the country. The building is discrete in appearance.

Standby Power Generation Systems

The new power generations system is designed around a 2.5 megawatt power grid. Two new Generac 400KW diesel generators provide redundant power into the facilities. The generators are stationed in a dedicated mechanical room. A total of 5 additional generators can be added as power requirements increase over time. Each generator sits atop a 750 gallon sub base fuel tank. Generators operate in parallel.

Cooling Tower / Chillers

Chilled water is available on site via a dedicated chiller tower. Redundant chiller and pumps ensures cooling capacity is always available. The chilling towers are schedule to be brought onto the power grid. Perimeter cooling is provided by multiple 15 ton Liebert updraft system.

Internet and Connectivity

Bandwidth is provided via multiple discrete carrier grade paths or connections to Tier 1 providers. The network is completely redundant. There is no single point of failure on the network.

Racks / Cooling

Racks in the facility are APC. In-Row cooling and cabinet PDU systems with power ties back to a centralized UPS systems.
